以壮丽的蒙古景观为背景，影片讲述了蒙古导演拜德·吉吉德在村与村之间奔走宣传自己的“零预算电影”的故事。一路上，拜德对社会主义和现实中的商业影片制作、破碎的梦想等问题进行了反复思考，而他自己的经历与父亲吉吉德（一位杰出的蒙古电影制片人）——的经历形成了鲜明的对比。藉记录艺术家在转型中的社会体制下的生存状况，《激情》不仅讲述了二者之间的复杂关系，更引导人们探寻“生活的意义”这一永恒话题。

Born in Ulaanbaatar in 1962, Byamba Sakhya is a graduate of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. A regular collaborator on international productions, he has extensive experience working as a writer, director, cinematographer, line producer, and editor of both fiction and non-fiction films. Sakhya won a Prince Claus Fund award in 2009 and an Asia Vision Award at the 2010 Taiwan IDF. He produced his first feature drama in 2012, supported by the World Cinema Fund of the Berlin International Film Festival. He is the co-founder of Guru Media, a production company based in Mongolia.
