Femininity is a central topic in the history of cinema; however, depictions of female characters are still comparatively rare in the world of film. However, for decades now there has been generation after generation of women directors bringing another perspective to their art. In Female Echo: Global Women Directors Forum, we invite three generations of women directors will come together to discuss women in the global film world and the depiction of women in cinema.
