Couleur de peau: Miel (Approved for Adoption)
2010, Laurent Boileau and Jung Henin, 75 minutes
42 years old according to his civil status, cartoonist Jung Henin prefers to place his birth at the age of 5, when a policeman found him wandering alone in the streets of Seoul. He is one of 200,000 adopted Koreans spread around the world. Jung decides to return for the first time to South Korea to tread the land of his ancestors and perhaps find traces of his biological mother. This trip of reconciliation with his roots and with himself leads the protagonist to recall—in animation—the child he once was and the winding path that led to adulthood. Though the characters are all animated in 3D, the landscapes and backdrops are in 2D, with drawings by Jung himself.
